Soil + Soul Healing Toolkits

At Prospering backyards, we are committed to reducing lead exposure and healing soil using natural, low-cost methods that can be applied right in our own backyards. That is why we have developed other materials in collaboration with other experts and organizations to learn about different methods to reduce exposure to contaminants in the soil.

These materials started as resources used during March and April 2025 on hands-on workshops focused on addressing environmental contaminants in the wake of this year's urban fires. We reviewed practical ways to protect our health, restore the land, and reduce exposure to toxins.⁠ These zines are designed to start the healing needed in our hearts, our soils, and our communities.
